Flower Power Valance
I have been asked a lot
for this pattern
so I have decided
to write out
the directions for you
on how I made it
This is only the second
crochet pattern I have
written so let me know
if there is something that
I need to write a little better
You can find the
half flower tutorial here
Have a look at it if you
are unsure on how to do
any of this full flower
There are lots of pictures
that may help you
You will also need
this tutorial to make
the half flowers
for the valance
Flower Power Valance
Crochet hook
US size H
I used Sugar & Cream and Peaches & Creme yarn in various colors in addition to other various brand cotton yarns that I had. Unfortunately I cant tell you how much yarn I used because I already had a lot of different colors in my stash.

Ok.. so now you must teach me how to crochet! I love this, Robin! So fun and funky!!
ReplyDeleteKadee its a pretty simple pattern. My sons girlfriend taught herself to crochet from youtube I bet you can too!! They make great table runners too.
ReplyDeleteGRACIAS!!! me gusta la idea para mi cuarto de costura, es genial!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern! It's retro ànd cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool project :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...This is adorable. I cannot wait to try it! Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteLove it! In fact I was only admiring it yesterday on Pinterest! x
ReplyDeleteRobin, this is the best post, love the flowers made into a valance, so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks you,
Meredith
Thanks for this patters ,my Niece loves it and wants me to make this for her daughter,I love to crochet,So I am trying it today!!
ReplyDeleteI love color! Your blog is pretty! I like the valance ideas a LOT! Thank you for writing a pattern!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to have found your blog. I pinned your curtain last week and couldn't stop thinking about it. It is exactly the shape that I need and want for my living room. Your blog and your work is awesome. Thank you so much for the patterns!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteI hope that if you decided to try my pattern that it was easy to follow :)
Your blog is gorgeous! I am your newest follower, and can't wait to come and back and explore some more! I need to go thank my friend at Insomniac With A Hook!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Absolutely love this!!! Awesome work!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this!!! Awesome work!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, it's soooooo beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing your pattern.
ReplyDeleteWow is all I can say, and a gasp. I had been looking for a crochet curtain pattern for the past few months. I was following bobwilson123 on FB and someone posted for a crochet curtain pattern and someone posted a link leading to you. My search is no over, I can create a kitchen curtain for me and my little daughters room. THANK YOU for sharing and having so much talent to create this. My only question is.. What is the width of the window your displaying it on in the photo? Mine is 27 or 32 across, im sure it wont be hard to adjust the pattern if it needs to be larger.
ReplyDeleteYou can just do as many flowers as you need to cover your window. Mine is covering a space that is about 42". Hops this helps.
DeleteRobin
Very lovely and colourful valance !! :) it looks so pretty !! thanks for sharing !!
ReplyDeleteFound your link on Meredith's blog.
VERY ORIGINAL IDEA...THANKS FOR SHARING...ALL THE VERY BEST
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHermoso trabajo!! Lo haré y luego te lo mostrare... Gracias :)
ReplyDeleteadoro seus trabalhos,são lindos, será que me pode dizer o número da linha com que trabalhou estas flores? obrigada.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome....Thanx a lot Robin for sharing this pattern.
ReplyDeleteThank you - this has always been one of my favorites!
ReplyDeletehi robin I love your pattern and valance is it best to make all the flowers up to number 4 row then when to put together do the 5 row and join as you go thanks
ReplyDeletekathy
I started with the top row and joined the 8 flowers as I went. I started the second row between the first and second flower then went back and added the half flower on each end.
DeleteI love this for my kitchen! Thank you for the pattern!
DeleteOooh, just found this through Facebook. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have a go. And I'll be back to check out all your other projects. They're lovely and make crocheting seem much less boring :)
ReplyDeleteHi Robin!!
ReplyDeleteWorking on a runner for my kitchen table in your pattern!! I love it!! Quick question for you tho, did you just slip stitch to its neighbor between the 8 dc? So 4 dc, sl st then 4 more dc? Have never done a project that required join as you go, so just trying to grasp the concept!! :)
Thanks for any help!!
Karolin
Yes thats how I made mine.
DeleteGood luck on your runner!!
Robin
To join the flower motifs together you could make a ch 1, then sl st in the next flower, ch 1 and then make the 4 dc on the current flower you're working on. This would make the curtain a little bit wider and a little bit longer, but might be a good idea if your window is slightly wider/longer than Robin's window of 42".
DeleteThis is so pretty! I'm really excited to give this a try! I think the colors you used in the first pic are so energizing and uplifting! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for curtains for my camper van, and thought this would be sooooooooo awesome for a valance over sheers thanks for this lovely pattern it is truly a work of art!! thanks Jan
ReplyDeleteThis valance would be really cute in your camper van!
DeleteRobin
Jan, I just added a link on my blog and I said the same things! Too funny! ~ Linne
DeleteI just finished my first flower! Your instructions with photos on the half flower were perfect. I'm a visual learner, so it really helped. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi, I want to make this one as it is gorgeous. Just wondering if it would be possible for you to give a list with the colours (how many different ones) that you used.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I don have the wrappers on the yarn so I cant tell you the colors or how many I used. You might be able to tell by looking at the picture. I used shades of purple, green, aqua and orange in cotton yarn.
DeleteRobin
Thank you for the response. I will try and figure it out by counting and looking at your picture:)
Deletethank you so much for writing this out and sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I have a client that wants one of these... do you take custom orders? I just do not have the time right now. If you are interested please email me at cre8tion@ymail.com Thank you, Lorene
ReplyDeleteThis is the very first written pattern I have followed. Thank you. :-)
ReplyDeleteCheryl x
I am a beginner at crochet, and have tried this flower a thousand times with no avail.. :( do you have a video or suggest a video where I can follow along to?
ReplyDeleteI don't have a video but you can Google crochet flower on Youtube and see what comes up. There might be one there.
DeleteI am making a very colourful version of this right now for my kitchen . Thanks for sharing the pattern , I also love your pinterest boards and look forward to making more of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteDoes the type of yarn matter I made a flower using red heart and mine came out smaller then it should have if I'm using red heart yarn should I try a bigger hook to get the size flower as yours in the picture. What do your flowers measure?? I love these
ReplyDeleteCindy I think the cotton yarn is thicker and probably will make a bigger flower. Yes you can use a bigger hook but it may make the flower to loose and floppy when it hangs. The cotton yarn is stiffer. I would just go with the smaller flowers. I really don't think the size will matter much since its not a wearable item although you may need to make more. My flowers are around 7" but the valance has been hanging for a long time so Im sure it has stretched. Hope this helps you.
DeleteHas anyone figured out the amount of yarn needed?
ReplyDeleteHi Robin. I've just found your blog and this valance is lovely -- I'm currently in a crochet frenzy, so this project is going on my list! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteShould this lay flat? I just made the first flower, and it really doesn't lay flat.
ReplyDeleteI found this on FB and HAD to track down the pattern! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have a problem crocheting with yarn that doesnt "give". Suggestions?
ReplyDeleteYou could try using one size larger hook if you have a tendency to crochet tight.
DeleteI have a problem crocheting with yarn that doesnt "give". Suggestions?
ReplyDeleteIf you crochet a little looser it makes it easier. You will get used to it after awhile 😀
DeleteI was going to do this as a project with my Grand Daughter ...couldn't it be joined after you make all the flowers you need...without joining as you go?
ReplyDeleteYes you could sew them together after they are all made.
DeleteCan you please make a video tutorial on you tube? :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't have the ability to do that
DeleteCan you please make a video tutorial on you tube? :)
ReplyDeleteRobin What size window was this and i love the project was easy to understand and i am not normally able to follow patterns
ReplyDeletearound 36" wide by 40" tall
DeleteI love this! Simple yet so beautiful. May I ask what type/weight or yarn you used? I guess the one I used was too thin since my flower ended up being only as big as my palm.
ReplyDeleteMainly I used cotton Peaches & Cream and Sugar & Cream.
DeleteI just love, love all your patterns. I'm having a hard time getting to any of the patterns though. When I click on pattern here or pictures here it takes me to a page full of never ending pictures. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an easier way to access your patterns? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSandra
sandysise1@bellsouth.net
None of the pictures are links so clicking on them wont get you anywhere but to the slideshow. No one else has reported this problem. Let me know what link specifically doesn't work and I will look into it. All the links worked when I made the post, but that was a year ago and things may have changed.
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable, colorful and inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHiya, this is lovely, can i ask please, Roughly how many balls of yarn did you use for this and what were the window measurement? Someone has asked me if i can make one for them and i need to let her know how much yarn she needs for it. Thanks. x
ReplyDeleteThe window is around 36" wide by 40" tall and I didn't keep track of how much yarn I used. I had some in my stash and added more colors that I liked.
DeleteSo cute!!! I think I'm going to make this.
ReplyDeleteOk. Thanks Robin. I'll make up a flower and a half flower and multiply them by the amount you have on yours. That should give me a rough idea. :)
ReplyDeleteI seen something similiar to this on Youtube. Their flower was smaller. I believe I like this one so much better. Going to make it for my 3 windows in my craft room. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have not crocheted in a while but I think I would like this for my kitchen♥ Thanks for the pattern :)
ReplyDeleteCute !! Thank you !!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a cropped sweater that looks pretty much the same as this. It would be good in all white too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing I will try to make one for my kitchen <3
ReplyDeleteI haven't crocheted in over 25 years. This project makes me want to start back again. Thanks for sharing, I want to do it for my craft room.
ReplyDeleteHow do you make the half flower? I didn't see those instructions in the explanation of the pattern. If it easier; you can email me the instructions for the half flower at: ashbeknown326@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYou would start with the magic loop, ch 3, 6 dc in loop, turn your work, ch 1 and FO if you're changing colors; otherwise, ch 3 or make the beg dc, and proceed as the patt, but turning each row. So you'll end up with six petals. You can look at the picture to help figure this out. Hope this helps.
DeleteYes that does help. Also I see where there was a link to doing the half flower. I guess I didn't look as closely as I should have.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOne of my nieces on fb shared the link to this pattern with me and has asked me if I'd make this for her. Already have this kind of yarn, so I might as well go to 'My Crochet Cellar' and get busy!
ReplyDeleteI still don't see a link for the flower
ReplyDeleteHalf flower i meant
DeleteSee the sentence that says "You can find the half flower tutorial here." If you click on the word "here" it will link you to the half flower tutorial.
DeleteThank you! I was going crazy trying to find the 1/2 flower instructions :-)
DeleteWhat a great idea and so pretty.I am trying this for sure.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. I will say that the recap at the end of each step confused me a few times.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern, thinking of making this for my gypsy trailer.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely!! Do you happen to have the pattern saved in a PDF file? Would be easier to print.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to show you the curtain I did for my kitchen following your pattern, but I don't think you can post pictures here in the comments, is there a way I can send you a pic of my curtain?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see it! You can send it to ltlblonde@sbcglobal.net
DeleteRobin
I love this! I have added a link to your page at the end of my post today, along with clear credit to you and the blog. Hope that works for you. This curtain is now on my fairly long 'to-do' list. But I needed another project . . . I didn't post any photos, but when I get to making mine, I will post my own pictures and give you credit again. Thanks so much. A friend shared the link on facebook and I thought it was too good not to share both there and on the blog. ~ Linne
ReplyDeleteI love this curtain! I have started on it already with what cotton yarns I had on hand, will add more if I need too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your time making it and for the pattern. I will link you to a pic when I get mine done.
I just finished my version of your pattern and would like to show you a picture, but don't know how to post it. Thank you for the pattern
ReplyDeletecan you email it to me?
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYour work is awesome. Could you possibly do a video tutorial? Those are much easier to follow; the written instructions are confusing. Thanks.
My concern is gravity, does this stretch over time?
ReplyDeleteMine stretched a tiny bit after hanging it but I have had it up for over a year and it still looks great! I think because I used the sturdier cotton yarn it has retained its shape.
DeleteAbsolutely love this curtain pattern but I do agree anyway u could possibly do a video tutorial for us who are not good at following written tutorials? thanks
ReplyDeleteThis is TASTY stuff ma'am! I just got RSI scrolling down to this comment box. You have a LOT of fans ;). Cheers for sharing this lovely crochet pattern with us all :)
ReplyDeleteI am making this, but as kind of a newbie crocheter, could someone please tell me how to "join as you go" with this pattern? Thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteSorry - a better question would be... how do you sew them together once all flowers are made? Thanks again ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Made my day. Thank you for posting this
ReplyDeleteHow wide was the window with the very colorful valance? I just started on my first flower...it's going to take a while to complete this project. And since I had no scraps, I will have to buy all the yarn...but so worth it! Walmart had all the colors except the pretty green!!
ReplyDeleteWhat size yarn are you using
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to give this a go! It's just my style. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! I am in love with the colors you used too. I will have to find some yarn in those colors, as that would perfectly match my classroom color scheme.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I want to make it in size 10 thread. Can you tell me what size the flowers are? Thanks for this pattern.
Deletemy flowers are 6 inches
DeleteLove love love this, Robin! I'd been trying to come up with something similar, in my brain at least. ;). Tell me please, are these North American or UK crochet terms? And thanks so much for sharing your fine work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern! Here's my version: https://www.facebook.com/TwittleMonkeys/photos/pcb.354156058069152/354156011402490/?type=1&theater
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful idea for the kitchen sink window. I think I might try mine with more green or with leaves since my kitchen is green with a vine pattern
ReplyDeleteHow do I join the flowers????
ReplyDeleteI need to find someone who crochets!
ReplyDeleteSo nice <3
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if you starched the final product, or did anything to ensure it hangs nice and smooth. I'm making two of these valances for my guest room right now - I modified the size a bit as my windows are not as wide - and I think they will be a nice pop of color in the room! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't use anything to stiffen the flowers. Good luck with your valances :)
DeleteWhere are the instructions for the half flower?
ReplyDeletehttp://onceuponapinkmoon.blogspot.com/2012/08/half-flower-tutorial.html
Deletesorry..please reply back to my email

Think I have read through all comments my sister want me to make this for my nieces room. What ply was the yarn you used?
ReplyDelete4 Ply cotton like Sugar n Cream
DeleteI made a set of these for a friend, and now others are asking me to sell them. Do you allow people to sell finished items made from your patterns? Thanks so much for posting this pattern- I love it!
ReplyDeleteYes you can make and sell the finished items
DeleteI love this. I am trying to pin it to my pinterest but it won't go. Hope I can just copy it. You did a great job on your description and instructions.
ReplyDeleteHi, love the curtain. I was wondering how wide your window is. I think my window may be smaller, and I might need to do six across the first row instead of eight.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin I am making this curtain for my granddaughters room. It is almost done I will post a picture when Im done. Thanks for all your great idea and crafts. love them.
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! I had a friend order this from me. I am going to try to replicate the colors you used because she is floored by it. She absolutely loves the color choice! I will post pictures once completed! I am excited to make one!
ReplyDeleteYou have done a magnificent job on writing and making this pattern. I am in awe of your wonderful takent. I bow to you.
ReplyDeleteLast time I crocheted was when I was expecting my 39 year old. My aunt said don't use it on the baby, he would suffocate under it. Guess I crochet toooo tight, but would like to try this !
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this lovely pattern, I knit more than crochet but I will add this to my to-do list, and if I live long enough I will make it. My daughter wants me to stop everything and make some for her right now.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR HAVEING THIS WONDERFUL PAGE! I DEFINATELY LIKE TO SHARE THIS WITH MY OLDER DAUGHTER AS WE BOTH CROCHET, BEGGINERS, BUT THIS DOSEN'T LOOK TO DIFFICULT. IT WOULD DEFINATELY BRIGHTEN A LOT OF WINDOWS IN MY HOUSE AND FUN AT THE SAME TIME! WHAT A GREAT IDEA! I THANK YOU AGAIN! TAMMY MICHAEL
ReplyDeleteI know how to make a magic ring. Could you please tell me how many SC the ring starts with? This is going to be my project next week!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me how many single crochets to make for the magic loop ???
ReplyDeleteCan you please tell me how many single crochets go into the magic loop ???
ReplyDeleteNo single crochets. There are a total of 12 double crochets - 1 chain 3 (counts as first DC) and 11 double crochets
DeleteThese are so fabulous I had to create a new Board just for this Pin. I can't crochet a thing more than a straight line but where there's a will, there's a way!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is going to LOVE her new kitchen curtains when she gets them for Christmas!!!!! Thank you in advance for letting me make these Robin!!!
ReplyDeleteYour welcome :)
DeleteRobin, I am unable to work with my hands because of neuropathy. Would you ever make the beautiful multicolored curtain and sell it? Please contact me at sdm1962@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it. Thank you, sandy
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email
DeleteRobin
That is so 70's! Love it!

ReplyDeleteHi lovely work thanks for sharing. Might want to try this, probably not...curious how long did it take you to make each one?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletei love the pattern and i love your back ground it really cute
DeleteThanks for sharing your pattern. I already made one for our home. May friends love it very much and i also shared to them your blogged. By the way I'm from the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and I am working on it now. I just have a question on the instructions for row 5. Could you please tell me the total 8 DC sets there should be for a total at the end of that Row? Thanks
ReplyDeleteThere are 6 petals so 6 sets of 8
DeleteI love your page and this pattern.
ReplyDeleteHermosas cortinas...!!! Gracias por compartir sus conocimientos.
ReplyDeleteWow, love this and when i have time will make for my kitchen window - thanks so much for sharing your pattern, its awesome
ReplyDeleteThe curtain/valance is the prettiest & most awesome crochet project I have ever seen!
ReplyDeletePlease can someone tell me.. is there a you tube video on how to make this. I would be able to learn alot easier if I had the video to watch and work along with. I am really excited about making this too so I thought I would ask.
ReplyDeleteThere is a video that shows how to make the flowers, search flower power valance on youtube and the tutorials come up
DeleteCan you tell me how many different colors you used? I think I see 2 different oranges. I have 4 colors now, and need to add a few more, but don't want too many. :)
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me the size of the window this fits? thank you
ReplyDeletethank you for the wonderful tutorial! im going to try to make this in white. it will look amazing i'm sure but maybe not as good as yours?
ReplyDeleteI have added up how much yarn will be needed to complete this pattern using 23 full flowers and 4 half flowers. I crochet tightly but I have been generous in my calculations to accommodate those who crochet more loosely. Besides, no one ever minded having a bit of extra yarn to play with at a later date!
ReplyDeleteTotal yarn in yards = 795
For those who want to do different colors in each row, I have broken those down as well:
Row 1 = 1.7 yards x 23 flowers = 39 yards
Half Flower = 1 yard x 4 halves = 4 yards
Row 2 = 2 yards x 23 flowers = 46 yards
Half Flower = 1 yard x 4 halves = 4 yards
Row 3 = 5 yards x 23 flowers = 115 yards
Half Flower = 2.5 yards x 4 halves = 10 yards
Row 4 = 8.5 yards x 23 flowers = 195.5 yards
Half Flower = 4.5 yards x 4 halves = 18 yards
Row 5 = 14.5 yards x 23 flowers = 333.5 yards
Half Flower = 7.5 yards x 4 halves = 30 yards
Thank you!!
DeleteHello. Thank you. Do you know what ply works best for this pattern also?
DeleteI love this! I am making one for my sister now! :) thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I am making one for my sister now! :) thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Makes me think about spring on this cold morning.
ReplyDeleteHow much would you charge for one?
ReplyDeleteThank you Robin for sharing this beautiful pattern. I finished my 2 valances today! I don't see an option to share a picture of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous! A friend of mine contacted me today to make this for her. I have no cotton yarn on hand but I wanted to at least try a flower so I used 100% acrylic (I love this yarn). How do you think it would hold up? Do you think there would be too much stretch to it? Also, when using the cotton, have you had any issues with it shrinking or running when washed? Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to email this pattern to my mom how do I do that using yahoo
ReplyDeleteHi Robin, I just finished the Flower Power Valence for a customer. It turned out awesome!!! She is very happy with it, it will be a wedding gift.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could post a picture, but I don't know if that is possible.
Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much I love this valence. Now to finish mine! :)
Hi Robin! I absolutely love this valance! I'm going to try to make it after I finish a few things I'm working on now. I can't wait! Thank you so much for the pattern. I will post pics! I hope I can also find the video!
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern! Can't wait to begin this project. Also,
ReplyDeleteit printed in nice big letters so I can read it. Yay!!
Hi thanks for sharing your pattern, I already made 3 pcs. of this 2 for my clients and 1 for me.I am from the Philippines. I share your pattern to anyone who is asking to me. Mabuhay(means longlive)
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time writing to you. Thank you so much for posting this wonderful pattern. I have made one flower in a varigated color cotton yarn. The colors change from maroon, to beige, to tan, to pink. I thought this would be good because one of the walls in our living room is maroon and the Bali material shades are also maroon. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. I know the flowers show up much better with changing the yarn colors but thought it would work good too. I intent to also do this pattern in my kitchen using bright colors to really accent the room. Thank you in advance for all the time you spend to help.
I wrote the above post, not familiar with blogging, so it does not have my name. So sorry, I will try to send it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this pattern - I intend to make a valance to brighten up our kitchen window :)
ReplyDeleteGoing to try to post photo here. ..

Best I could do was the ig link. ♡♡♡
For some weird reason, probably me lol, I'm not seeing my comments on making this gorgeous valance for our kitchen window. Don't want to double post, so I'll wait to see if it's here later. Do you have an insta gram account? I did give you credit for beautiful pattern, and posted link to your blog there. Hope that's OK with you. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful pattern! ♡♡♡

ReplyDeleteI love this! Finally got around to making mine and it's gorgeous! Would love to share a pic with your readers but not sure how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to access the 1/2 flower tutorial. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donja
I really love this project. However, I too have had trouble joining flowers. Can you talk the video lady into showing how to to thus. I did a lot of flowers and now am having to tear out last row in order to join them as I went. Ugh. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteIs there a tutorial for putting the valance together? LIke what stitch to use? Or is it just at the discretion of the crocheter?
ReplyDeleteSorry there is no tutorial for putting this together. Its the "join as you go" method. There are lots of tutorials if you Google that. My flowers are joined in the center of the petal. Look at the picture for placement.
