They both go home today…….whew

I love beads & jewelry and they are always a staple in my crafting supplies. I was looking around on the internet the other day and came across a bracelet that I loved. I remembered seeing this class at the local bead store, but I thought I could figure it out without a class.
I had to get the supplies and make one.
Here is my first attempt.
I wanted it to wrap three times, but I didn't have enough beads so twice is.
I really like the way it turned out.
There will be more.
I'm hooked. :)

Next Saturday the Marie Antoinette Mail Art group I belong to is having a Valentine Gala. There will be lots of wonderful prizes made by some very talented ladies.
I made this Marie Valentine wall hanging as one of the prizes today.
I just love doing the Citrasolv transfers and tea dying everything. I used one of the metal embellishments I bought at Urban Barn a couple weeks ago.
I'm surprised I got anything done this weekend. I was babysitting this little fur ball…..my granddaughters’ kitten Charlie.
I soo forgot what its like to have a kitten around. She was bouncing off the walls and into everything!!
Yes she's in the window behind the blinds trying to get out…….and then on to terrorize the birds.
She's gone for now…..but will be back on Tuesday again for few days. My granddaughter was so excited to get her back today. I do miss having her around. She has such a cute personality and she's so cuddly. Almost makes me want another cat….. that doesn't sleep under the bed all day.
Hope you had a great weekend!!

Well my bedroom is finally done……and I LOVE it!!
The color is so calm and relaxing. I love waking up in it every morning.
It makes me smile.
The color is actually more green than blue, but strangely it looks more blue than green on the wall……go figure.
I used burlap for the bed skirt.
I looked everywhere and couldn't find a burlap bed skirt. So I went to the fabric store and bought 8 yards of burlap. It was my intent to cut it in half and sew the burlap onto the existing deck of the one I already had. But after tucking it in to see how long I wanted it I just kept tucking and adjusting the gathers between the mattresses and wala……..a burlap bed skirt.
The best part is no sewing.
Boy was I happy!!
Thanks for having a look.

Next month is
Artistic Affaire Moulin Rouge.
I have been busy getting ready and finishing up my swaps. I signed up for 3 and I'm done with two……..the third I’m hostessing.
Sooo until I have everyone's pieces that one won’t be done. I'm sure I will be rushing around at the last minute trying to get that one done, but at least the other 2 are complete!
One of the swaps I'm in is a pillow with a vintage suitcase pocket.
I did a Citrasolv transfer onto a linen fabric using a Graphics Fairy image. She also has a tutorial on her blog showing how to do the Citrasolv transfer.
I really like how it turned out and I hope my partner does too. Im excited to see what she made for me.
The next swap I signed up for is a 7 x 4 piece to go in a banner…….9 of them.
Since the theme is Moulin Rouge, I found this cool vintage can can girl image and dressed her up a bit.
Then I made these cute lace bags (that also have a Citrasolv transfer) to put them in.
I tea dyed the bags………..I can never leave things as they are.
I just love the tea dyed look…….so into the tea they went.
Here is picture showing before and after the they were tea dyed.
I just love the way you can instantly….well almost….make something look old by dipping it in tea.
This is the backside of my banner.
I tied on a Can Can Girl Moo card that I had made especially for this Moulin Rouge event.
I like to put them on my swaps ….I just love those little Moo cards and made a whole assortment of Moulin Rouge themed ones!!
All packaged up and ready to go.
I'm getting so excited……I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
A little more than a month to go……..now I need my Can Can Girl outfit.
