Its a Christmas Thing

Seems there just isn't enough time in the day.  I haven't posted for a while and have had some dreaded computer problems.  I thought I would post a few pictures of what I have been up to.
I decided on a real tree this year instead of my little pink one.  I just LOVE the shiny brite ornaments.  I do have to admit I think collecting them is an addiction.

A friend and I got together to make Paula Nerhus style steampunk dolls.
I just love the way she turned out.

Now my crow has a friend.

Since I had the paper clay  (which I used for the doll head) , I decided to make some snowmen to add to my collection.

Got some more things in the works…I just need more time in the day!!
If your interested, I will be teaching a wire cage doll class at Rita Reade’s in February.  It will be held at Rita’s home in Rainbow February 11th and seating is limited.  You can sign up here or email me for info.  Its similar to the class that I taught at Kim Caldwell’s a few months back.
Hope you are done with your Christmas shopping….I am!!
Happy Holidays!!
Robin

  1. What a great addiction the collecting of Shiny Brights is though. *winks* Your Tree looks stunning and I'm adoring your Steampunk Doll and Crow!!! I saw some Steampunk Crows in a Gift Shop at the Airport when I was picking up my Brother... wish they had been more reasonably priced because I was absolutely infatuated with them!!!

  2. Robin, all your creations here are fabulous! The dolls are totally amazing! I adore your snowmen too!
I think your tree looks lovely. I too, got a real tree this year and did it Victorian style. We even finished it off with tinsel.
The silver tree I used for my Jane Austen display is new! I found it at a gift shop about 2 hours away. I go by there often though, and next time I will check in and see if they have any left or see if I can find the maker.
    Hugs,
    Terri
