Where Bloggers Create Blog Party II

{{  Welcome to my studio  }}

Since I live in a small one bedroom apartment and never used my dining room, I decided to turn it into my studio.

  I went to Ikea and walked around for a while and this is what I came up with.

DSC04082

It was just what I needed to keep all my supplies neatly stashed away.  Of course it doesn't always look this way…especially when I am creating.  The blue wall on the right is where my living room starts and my TV is.

Since my studio and my living room are all one space, I wanted it to look nice and be functional too.  Next to my studio is my kitchen.  I have my collection of paper dolls hanging along the wall in between.

I don't really like plastic so I have collected lots of jars to store things in.

These trunks are in my Living room.  They hold fabric & yarn.

I just love sitting on my couch and looking at all my pretties.

  1. I cannot believe I'm only up to the C's in going through this Blog Party, so I'm glad to catch up with those I follow through my trusty Google Reader.

    Love the paper dolls and that the birdcage is actually a birdcage. You should take pictures of your living room too, that space was full of beautiful things!

    Loved the big glass jars across the top of one of your cabinets too!

  7. Robin your space is amazing! I got so inspired by all the bloggers studios I found some new cabinets and painted them for some new needed storage space......last night I was putting it all together and found a big envelope I'd stuffed full of wallpaper for you...it was buried under stacks of papers! I'm so sorry! I forgot all about that! Can you send me your address again? It's been ready to go forever, I just can't find your address. Hopefully now I can be more organized now that I have more storage!

  10. That is a lovely space, Robin. I am looking with great interest at your Ikea shelves, as I need something like that for our bead room (for my birthday present two birthday's ago...lol). You have make a pretty space out of your dining room...you know, I just love those tissue balls. Never get tired of them. I have some in the basement and seem to be saving them up for something...I don't know what! I love the fact that you left some of those spaces open and put all your pretties in them...very nice!

  40. You have such a great studio! So organized. I'm in the process of making my living room, which is hardly ever used into my office/studio. A white table I painted some time back is waiting for my computer and a few pretty things. Who takes time to sit in a pretty living room anyway?

  43. I really like this room. It's nice being so open to the whole house. The colorful pastels look great with the beige background, like a candy store. It makes me think I need to decorate around my kitchen a little more. Maybe I would like being in there to cook!
