{{ Welcome to my studio }}
Since I live in a small one bedroom apartment and never used my dining room, I decided to turn it into my studio.
I went to Ikea and walked around for a while and this is what I came up with.
It was just what I needed to keep all my supplies neatly stashed away. Of course it doesn't always look this way…especially when I am creating. The blue wall on the right is where my living room starts and my TV is.
Since my studio and my living room are all one space, I wanted it to look nice and be functional too. Next to my studio is my kitchen. I have my collection of paper dolls hanging along the wall in between.
I don't really like plastic so I have collected lots of jars to store things in.
These trunks are in my Living room. They hold fabric & yarn.
I just love sitting on my couch and looking at all my pretties.
My feathered friends.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my studio.
Robin

ReplyDeleteRobin your space is amazing! I got so inspired by all the bloggers studios I found some new cabinets and painted them for some new needed storage space......last night I was putting it all together and found a big envelope I'd stuffed full of wallpaper for you...it was buried under stacks of papers! I'm so sorry! I forgot all about that! Can you send me your address again? It's been ready to go forever, I just can't find your address. Hopefully now I can be more organized now that I have more storage!

That is a lovely space, Robin. I am looking with great interest at your Ikea shelves, as I need something like that for our bead room (for my birthday present two birthday's ago...lol). You have make a pretty space out of your dining room...you know, I just love those tissue balls. Never get tired of them. I have some in the basement and seem to be saving them up for something...I don't know what! I love the fact that you left some of those spaces open and put all your pretties in them...very nice!

ReplyDeleteYou have such a great studio! So organized. I'm in the process of making my living room, which is hardly ever used into my office/studio. A white table I painted some time back is waiting for my computer and a few pretty things. Who takes time to sit in a pretty living room anyway?

Great place for a studio, right in the hub of the home. Your trunks are a great idea for storage and I agree about glass jars as a better alternative to plastic. Thanks for the tour. Connie
