I am addicted to crocheting.
I will admit that.
I learned when I was very young.
But I LOVE color.
You can put your project aside
and pick it up again at any time.
And small projects are completed quickly
with great satisfaction.
I love the bright flowers.
They're fun to make.
My projects are one-of-a-kind and
you can match anything.
And I like that you can get so many patterns off the internet for free.
I got all these that way.
If you check me out
on Pinterest
(another addiction)
you will find them all....
and a lot more.
This project is in the works.
A very large afghan for someone special.
Hope its done by Christmas!
Robin

I am also making this scarf from lucy at attic 24. I had to make up my pattern bc I could either buy the book written in charts and Japanese or buy yarn. I've been crocheting since I was six which will soon be 50!!! years ago. Did you make up your own pattern?
ReplyDeleteMaria I found the pattern on Ravelry (posted below the valance picture) for free. I just had to make up the pattern for the half flowers, which are on another post.
DeleteRobin
HI Your crochet decorations look adorable.Especially window flower curtain is too good. But the flowers look big when compared to original pattern, please let me know whether any changes are made to original flower and also let me know in which round of flower two strands are used.
DeleteI didn't make any changes to the pattern. I used an H hook.
DeleteRobin
Lavanya I only used one strand of yarn on the whole flower.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your colorful curtains and well ALL OF IT! I just learned to crochet last year from youtube videos. I love the pictures. I'm not so great still at following patterns, but the more I do the more I understand. I am addicted too. Right now I'm doing a granny square americana afghan. :D
ReplyDeleteI have the same coffee table AND bookshelves! I've been struggling to organize my crafts and seeing your coffee table utilized as a storage/workspace is really inspiring. Thanks for sharing your home!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie. I LOVE that Ikea line of shelving. I have three of the cubby shelves and the desk that attaches to the shelf in my studio. I also have LOTS of the bright boxes that hold all of my craft supplies out of sight that fit right into the cubbys.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your blog & all of your colorful work!!! I am the same way with Crocheting... I taught myself when I was about 15 then of course being a typical teen stopped for a while, started back up after my 2nd daughter, then had my 3rd & was overwhelmed lol... But I started again since I am not working and am a stay at home mom to ALL 4 of my daughters :) I somehow have more time now & cannot stop!!! Thank you for being so inspiring & creating your blog!
