A Modern Chevron

My son and his wife
just bought their first home
and I have been working on
a housewarming gift

A modern version of the 60's chevron
I love the way it turned out

I used this pattern
from All Things Bright and Beautiful

I used I Love This Yarn
from Hobby Lobby

And I do LOVE this yarn
Its so soft and cuddly
I got the pattern here

I even had enough yarn left over
to make a matching pillow

I used this chevron stitch
for the pillow and
added vintage buttons

After making so many other blankets
with lots of ends to weave in
this one was a breeze!!

Im having a hard time
waiting until they move in
to give it to them
...less than a week…
I can do it!!

  1. I love this thanks for sharing and I love this yarn is one of my favorite brands!

  2. It's so pretty, Robin! I love the colors, and you know I love that Hobby Lobby yarn. Nice that you made a matching pillow. What a lucky couple!

  3. They are both stunning, what a wonderful house warming gift

  4. what a beautiful blanket, you have chosen such great colours that work together perfectly

  5. This is a beautiful blanket!

  6. Beautiful Ripple.... Wondering if this was done in back loops only as it seems to have a very appealing ridge to it?
I Am new to your blog and love it!!!

  7. Thanx so much: I'm about to begin another Ripple as a gift for a loved on and and would love it to be a bit different than the others I have created... this will surely do the trick!!!! <3

  8. Robin, WHERE do you live? you should be able to get my email....there must be a way for you to PM me.

I live about 5 minutes from Mission San Luis Rey....would it be great to meet - maybe crochet together a bit?

Please, if you can, send me a way to reach you, if you are interested.

  9. I am trying to access the directions for the flower valance. It says that I need to have an invite from the blogger.
